Swim & Dive Team

The pool opens this weekend and if your family plans to take part in this summer’s Mohican Swim & Dive team then the new online registration process is ready for use.  This system is easy to use and allows you to maintain an account while also greatly improving team communications by building an accurate contact database.   If you want to change how you are contacted during the season – phone numbers, email addresses, etc., you can log back in and change that information.  The system is hosted by Active, a large company that provides the same services for other summer league teams as well as swim club teams (e.g., Sea Devils Swimming).  You must have an active membership (member or renter) at the Mohican Swimming Pool to participate in the Swim and Dive Team.

Here are a few pointers on using the system:

  1. Enter one swimmer/diver at a time – when you finish up entering your family and first swimmer/diver information you will be given an option to enter another child’s information – just select “Add New Swimmer” from the Cart Page – which is at the end of the system.
  2. If you are adding a swimmer or diver, make sure that you do not add a child to the same team twice – the system will list out very clearly what teams you have registered your kids for, but, it does not stop you from registering the same child twice for the same team.  If you do make a mistake there will be a link to delete the entry on the “Cart” payment page.
  3. Special Note to New Families: If you are registering a child for our “Developmental Team,” please do not register them for the “Swim Team – 8 and Under” as well – you would be double paying if you do that!  If you are unsure about whether your child should be on the developmental team or the swim team, please contact the team representatives (contact data provided below).  Please refer to the bottom of this email for more information on dates, practice times, contacts, etc…
  4. Whether you have registered in advance or if you need more information before making a final decision, please plan to stop by the pavilion at the back of the pool on Saturday May 22th, from 12:00 to 3:00 PM or Monday, May 24th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM .  Team suits will be will be available for purchase and Swim & Dive team reps and coaches will be onsite to answer questions and provide additional information.   For first time families or those with children looking to swim or dive in their first meets, a 20 minute information session will be held at 2PM on Saturday and 6PM on Monday.
  5. Payment: You can pay online by credit card, or if you do not wish to use a credit card you can also send in a check.  The process is explained on the online payment page.  There was only a slight adjustment to the fees this year with $5 added to the discounted multi-swimmer/diver rates.   This year’s fees are:

1st Child - $85
Additional Per Child - $60
Developmental Team – $55

Diving
1st Child – $85
Additional Per Child – $60
Multiple Team Discount – $10
