Mohican Duathlon

Swimmers and runners… start your training!

The Mohican Duathlon is back — with a vengeance.  As you may know, the Duathlon took a couple of years off “to find itself.”  During that time, it ascended K2, conferred with the Dalai Lama, sipped capuccino with Bono, swam with the dolphins, ran with the bulls, and conquered the disciplines of kundalini yoga and ninjujitsu under the tutelage of eastern masters.

The Duathlon’s journey concluded with an inner discovery that had been plain from the start — that Mohican pool rocks and there is no place on earth like it.  And, there is no experience more exultant than completing an 800 meter swim follwed by a 5 kilometer run, followed by a hot dog in September.  So now it’s back — 5 kilometers slimmer and open to all.  Come.  Swim.  Run.  Eat.  Experience Nirvana.

Many thanks to board member Rick Calder for enticing the Duathlon back and to member Tom Barrett for starting it in the first place.  Read on for race details from Rick…
